CABINET CONSTRUCTION IS THE FOUNDATION OF ANY KITCHEN (or LAUNDRY ROOM or BATHROOM) AND JUST LIKE YOUR HOME, THE FOUNDATION NEEDS TO BE HIGH-QUALITY CONSTRUCTION AND BUILT TO LAST. NO ASSEMBLY REQUIRED LIKE BIG BOX STORES

High-Quality Construction begins with 3/4" (18mm) cabinet grade plywood - Not MDF or Particle Board

Tenons For Alignment and Strength

Our Cabinetry is built with a floating tenon to ensure precise alignment and  prevents twisting - no exceptions our  hidden structural joints  deliver strong, twist proof connections that resist torquing.

System 32 - The Standard

Virtually all good kitchen hardware today is based on European designs developed after WWII. A cabinetmaking system was developed that used standard drill sizes of 5mm and 8mm and standard hole spacing of 32mm (about 1 1/4") for dowels, shelf supports, drawer slides and hinges. With frameless construction (vs. the North American face frame construction), the system is a series of boxes with standard components — left and right panels are interchangeable, as are tops and bottoms. Because the hole pattern is designed to fit various fittings, the unit can be converted at any time from one configuration to another and allow for last-minute changes when you are building. All holes are measured with consistent 32mm spacing and all in reference to the sides and ends of the panels. We use metric for the design and construction stage to reduce rounding errors.

In high-production use, metric measurement is used because only three basic panels are needed, all of which are "balanced". Balance simply means that the panel is symmetrical. It may be flipped end for end or back to front without a change in the hole pattern, so that left and right panels are completely interchangeable, as are top and bottom panels. The floating tenons make it easy to maintain squareness in assembly.

Our Doors and Drawers are soft-close as a standard offering! Top-tier European Manufacturers of Cabinet Hardware

Blum and Salice are top-tier European manufacturers of cabinet hardware, often considered comparable in quality for hinges and drawer slides. Blum (Austria/USA) is known for industry-leading market share and premium durability, while Salice (Italy) offers high-quality, innovative, and often more cost-effective alternatives with unique features like integrated push-to-open options.

Key Comparisons:

  • Hinges: Both use a similar clip-top mechanism. Salice hinges are viewed as equivalent in quality to Blum, with some, like the Salice soft-close hinges, offering unique adjustment options for closing speed, rather than just an on/off switch.

  • Drawer Slides: Blum Tandem slides are widely used, whereas Salice Progressa slides are noted for higher load capacities (120–170 lbs) and integrated, synchronized push-to-open technology.

  • Preference: Blum is often favored for brand familiarity and widespread availability, while Salice is praised for engineering and value.
